Fuel Driving On Empty

Black and White
Equal
Man and Woman
Equal

Eyes are meant to be opened, and thoughts should happen while blinking
Thoughts of subjects minus a catalyst.
No versus.

This world is bountiful
but hate fills nothing except lack of intelligence.

Listen

Wisdom of the old, advice from the experienced.
Life lessons taught, but ears remain closed.
Minds left to enter the unidentified tunnel
Empty, night blindness, hands outreached
Unable to feel any possible surroundings.

Silence decibel 0.
Imaginary maps clutched
Lands lay untouched
patterns recycle
Cold.

Talons break surface skin.
Dementors circle and descend
feasting on remains
You couldn't call upon.

Ah, Old People

Dance floor waxed. The hips that flip. Cups of juice, Chaos to floor plans and loafers. Rex Harrison hats fly thru air as disks on an amusement ride. Old people bodies stacked spouting "where are my meds?!" You are laying on them geriatric!

Untitled (old)

I walk on the street corner and I see your reflection within the walls of the showcase. As my lips make love to the glass, my dark side went to drink expresso and hear the faint sound of the beatnik snap. My florist asks if I will be attending classes. "Not today, ma'am. I'm sick of a Roman love hang-over and my walls are ready to fall."

Thanks (old)

As I hung up the phone, you gave me inspiration and a cup of coffee. You woke me up to say, "You must face the music you haven't wrote yet."

Her...

Its hard to write about things that presently give you joy. Sad that people live in the past rather then the now. I lay next to the exception. She has a style of Ruby, and shines where the smallest and brightest light can't. Before my life was a half wing of prayer and uncertainty. It's now full flight. Acoustic brilliance of smile and laughter. We have build a life of us. A monument to the smile and dedication our family has for each other. Center of the chaos. Her. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Lesson One

How are you, my island without a sun.
Black moon rising, so far away from home.
You wear your heart on your jacket and invite others for a cry. Taking the pain that others leave behind. I understand now, my mission's very clear.
To understand love... Is to understand fear.
